HAPPY FEET!

These pudgy little footsies belong to my cherubic little lady. I hear pink sandals are "de rigueur" this summer.

Hermosa Beach. One of our fave magical LA spots. They got a great pizza place called Paisano's there. Try it.

FYI, there's no way to appear Man-ly when pushing a pink stroller. So, you just roll with it. It's like when your girlfriend/Wife tries to convince you that you look super hot in the new pink shirt she bought for your birthday. I got news for you--You don't.

Today was a monumental day. As we were taking my daughter for a stroll in her bugaboo, she began repeating the word--DADA-- over and over again, making me proud/happy/thrilled and my Wife insanely jealous. It almost gave me a serious case of the Happy Feet.

The training paid off.

Good day all around.

QUEBRADA : CITY OF MASKS

"The Legendary Cliffs of Quebrada in Mexico are famous for breaking the backs of dare-devil high-divers and crippling them, as they dive into the rough sea below. The Cliffs of Quebrada are death-defying and have been known to kill many skilled high-divers."

For a while now, I've been hinting at what I've been writing. It's a secret project that I've been involved with for close to 6 months... and we are really ramping up now!

Here's a small glimpse of a few cool panels from the actual comic. Apologies but it's in Italian and has not been translated. I kinda like the fact it's not translated because I can read Italian and you, most likely, can't.

It helps preserve the mystery...

It's based on an Italian Comic Book called QUEBRADA written and created by Matteo Casali.

There will be Masks. Lots of masks. Unlike XMEN, we're not afraid of masks. We embrace the mask.

I can't really say what the film is about but it's a world with many heroes and villains and the lines that blur one into the other.

Did I mention that QUEBRADA will be epic? It's beyond epic. IT WILL BE BIBLICAL.

I wish I could say more about the themes and characters of QUEBRADA but I can't right now. All I can say is that the film has instantly iconic archetypal characters, a strong love story and eye-popping visuals.

There you go: QUEBRADA is the mystery project I've been working on for quite some time.

There's also another comic book project in development based on characters I created. But that's another blog for another time. More details on mystery Project 2 when details firm up.

Get ready to rumble like you've never rumbled before!

QUEBRADA is coming.

THE NEW LOOK JOKER!

My Brother in Law Last Halloween.

I think it's high-time for a new interpretation of the Joker.

Gone is the long, stringy hair-- in its place is a close-cropped punk-rock nihilistic Joker. There's something very creepy about a version of the Joker that looks like he could also be a White Supremacist.

The moody lighting in the room makes this one of the best pictures I've ever taken. It's one of my all-time favorite photographs.

This is a pic I took last halloween of my brother-in-law who dressed up as the Joker. I did the makeup and My Wife, until this day, says that I missed my true calling as a makeup artist.

Who knows maybe I did?

CHECK OUT MY BAT-BALLS!

Bat-Balls. Everyone should have a pair.

My Wife got these for me yesterday. Still not sure if she was being sweet or if there's a deeper meaning behind it.

IN THE OFFICE PITCHING IDEAS TO MY FAVE LISTENER

In my Office, with Brad Pitt & Cate Blanchett watching over her, I pitched some ideas to my most favorite little person on this planet.

She seemed to respond to the pitch and will get back to me in 2 to 3 weeks.

THIS ONE'S FOR MARINCIC

I normally frown upon posting pics of myself. But this one's for Marincic. Actual proof that I don't always wear black. I call it my "Back to PANDORA" shirt. Was forced, coerced, cajoled, etc. into wearing this by the Wife. It's great for cloaking stains.

There was some hookah at the Hawaiian themed party. I call it strawberry pot. Love the disco vase.

As you can see, not everyone got with the program at the Tiki-themed party.

Flora, The Wife, Diana the B-day Girl & Moi. Photo taken moments before people in said photo began to lose their ability to walk upright. It wasn't an inner ear problem.

Things did get slightly out of control as the party went deep into the night. Lots of people having trouble remaining upright. I have photos but I don't have the heart to post them... yet. Was fun for the most part.

DOWNTOWN LA SATURDAY NIGHT

I just enjoy this picture. Something about the natural wet-down and cool blue Cameron-esque hues.

SATURDAY NIGHT HABS FEVER IN LA!

Yeah, we had kick ass seats.

Not going to talk about the game. You could read about the details on ESPN or TSN.com. Habs won 4-2 over the Kings.

I want to talk about the atmosphere at the Staple Center. It was a sellout crowd (which is rare from what I understand) and I swear to you that the crowd was 40 to 50 percent Montreal Canadiens Fans. It was unbelievable the amount of Habs blood red jerseys that were in the stands. An impressive, awe-inspiring sight. The "Go Habs Go" chanting drowned out any chants the Kings Fans attempted to start. Made it a great experience for the Wife and I.

Did I mention we had kick ass seats?

I also want to talk about the great and classy people I befriended throughout the game-- There was the elderly couple behind us who were die-hard Kings fans. The husband came to only his second game of the season because he was fighting cancer. Very gracious and sweet. I also want to thank Nick, the gentleman who offered to buy us beer if the Habs were winning after two periods-- which they were. We declined but he still showed up with the beer at the top of the 3rd period. Once again, a classy Kings fan. There was also the couple that followed the Kings around North America and had been to almost every hockey arena except for two places: Dallas and Washington (they are going to Dallas next week). I was amazed and slightly jealous at their journey. What an awesome road trip idea. Could even make a pretty cool movie. And they say there's no hockey fanatics in LA. Finally, there was the very sweet David Garfinkle who came all the way from Montreal with his 10 year old son to watch the Habs play the Kings. His son's eyes were sparkling with delight. A real sweet man, a swell Canadian.

My Wife sporting her true colors. Recently converted her into a Habs fan. Was formerly a Kings Fan. I know, no one's perfect.

It was a great night. Thrilling. The game was close but what really struck me was the kinship of the people all around us. Everyone bonded and there were no cheap-shot remarks. Everyone was friendly, courteous and classy. Really surprising, especially in the normally shark-like atmosphere Los Angelenos revel in. It kind of restored my faith in humanity. At least on this night it did.

The Littlest Habs Fan.

Oh, how glorious it would be for the Habs to face the Kings in the Stanley Cup Final like in 1993. Guess who was the winner then? Thank you Marty Mcsorley!

Jaroslav Halak. Top Notch Goalie!

Once again, kickass seats. Look to the bottom right corner-- yup that's Mr. Sandra Bullock aka Jesse James.

The Lowly Kings. Yeah, we were sitting right above where the Kings come out onto the ice. Pretty sweet--if you're a Kings fan.

Speak soon.

This photo makes me very happy. It's everything I love most on earth captured in a frame.

My Two favorite Ladies having a serious one on one. Missing them more than usual today.
Can't wait to have them back tonight.
